Autographed letter to the editors of Collier's Magazine, 16 May 1905 regarding omissions of two Nelson quotations in an article he wrote and was published recently. Mahan regrets not being consulted about this. He feels that a technical paper should be revised by the author.

Alfred T. Mahan, naval officer, was born in 1840. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1859. He served as second president of the Naval War College, 1885-1886 and again in 1892-1893.
